General Forest Stand Reports

It has been an excellent growing season for your three forest stands. In fact despite past droughts they are now well ahead of the growth predictions made in the Forestry Plan before they were planted.

Since last reporting to you both we or the operations manager and the partnership's Forestry Consultant have surveyed the stands and taken measurements and foliage samples for analysis. All are fully stocked and healthy.

A fifth to a third of the Ramshead and Paratu stands, now 4.9 years old are ready to receive their first lift of pruning. The average height in these areas is over 7 metres so we will have this work done soon, to a prescription provided and audited by the consultant.

2002 Budget

We have sent a draft of this to the consultant for approval. It looks like about $700 per unit will be needed over the course of the year, mostly for pruning. We will send you the budget with detailed notes soon.

2001 Accounts & Tax Certificates

These should not be far away. The Partnership Accountant reports that the file is now with the auditor.

We will be in touch again shortly.

PS: If you have access, take a look at our website and the photos of Chimney Creek I took on 31/12/01. One is of the thriving native reserve in the middle of the stand which has gained from your forest possum control.
