Insignis Forest Partnership
Progress - AGM - Site Visit
10 October 2000
2nd Notice of Annual General Meeting
The 2000 AGM has not been held yet because we did not get a quorum, which is no surprise as there are only formalities to be completed. I wouldn't come either if I didn't have to!
Therefore could I suggest Partners send me a proxy (as below) instead for another try at our office, Leinster House (above the 'Little India' restaurant), 158 Leinster Rd, Merivale, beginning at 5.45 pm on Thursday the 26th of October 2000.
The formal business of the AGM will be :
a) To receive and consider the Partnership's Financial Statements and the Auditors report; and
b) To receive the Forest Management Report and Forest Plan Budget for the year.
Site Reports & Photos
I have been over Ramshead and Chimney Creek plantations very recently and was at Paratu in June. All three are coming on brilliantly. The key factors for a plantation in the first four years are coverage and evenness, but particularly the former. On that count your plantations score virtually 100%. Of course good growth and health are important too and again on that count they are first rate. No doubt they are good sites to grow trees, but credit should be given to those we contracted to establish them and the landowners who have contributed to their care too. Well done.
Site Visit - Marlborough - late January 2001?
I would be prepared to organise a day when those interested could meet and visit Ramshead and Chimney Creek, one in the morning and perhaps the other after a vineyard lunch or a picnic? Both are about 30 mins from Blenheim. Please let me know if you are interested.
If you have any queries about anything, or want more information, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time.
