Six Hills Forest Partnership
Annual Report
1 April 2003

Dear Partners,
We are pleased to report as follows:

Forest Stand Progress
The partnership’s Consultant recently inspected your forest to advise, (mostly on pruning timing, extent and systems) and to report to the Committee.

All four of your Radiata pine clearwood regimes are due for pruning now or later this year.

AH2 will receive a second lift. It will be thinned this year too.
AH1 was found to be ready for a complete first lift. (This has just been done)

GT7 and HF1 will have their first lift some time over the next few months.
The Consultant advised that LH2 should have some plot analysis as it is likely there are some areas where due to wind exposure, form and growth will not be good enough to merit adding value by pruning. Those areas can be grown as unpruned stands.

GT10, your Douglas-fir stand is exhibiting good form, growth and health and only continued possum control is required for now.

Budget 2003 & Tax Loss 2002
The proposed budget enclosed is with your Committee and Consultant for approval. It indicates a need for close to $1,300 per unit this year. We enclose a request for payment. If need be, payment can be in instalments to suit your circumstances.

The latest Tax Loss Certificate will be sent to you very soon.

If you have any queries about anything, or want more information, please don't hesitate to contact us at any time.
