AGM Minutes
Better late than never I suppose, the AGM that is.
Enclosed is a copy of the minutes for you.
Photos
The enclosed photos are from your four Douglas-fir forest stands, all going well to plan.

Forest Health News
Something that could damage Radiata pine stands is Pitch canker. You may have heard of this disease in the general media as there have been some very alarmist ‘news-bites’ on it this year. We enclose an informative pamphlet on Pitch canker from Forest Research.
As you will read, the people who know most about the subject say it seems likely this disease may not be such a threat overall. However it is one of many biological agents we want to keep out of this country.
So long as the scientists and bio-security people can keep ahead of the game, we hope never to find out its effect here.

What is ‘GF Plus’ Radiata?
Your Radiata pine stand at Ahuriri has been established with cuttings containing the best genetics available on the market. They should produce significantly superior wood to the trees available just a few years ago. Enclosed are some pamphlets from the breeding co-op that is behind this technology, which may be of interest to you.

2004 Budget
We will send out a draft budget next month. The contribution in 2004 will again be $250 per unit.
